1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
I wish I had realized that food could be fuel and the importance of eating a heart-healthy diet. As a teen and through my early twenties, I spent years restricting my food intake and choosing diet sodas over water. After learning about nutrition, working with therapists, and working with educated professionals, I have now found healing through a balanced diet focused on health over any certain number on a scale.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
Our boys are 8 and 6 years old and their future is something I pray about often. Living in today's world of social media and screens, my concern is this youngest generation will lose personal conversation skills and personal connections that are invaluable to our mental health. The increased screen time is also linked to childhood obesity and behavior issues. As a mother and volunteer, I encourage kids to be outside as much as possible!

3.What do you love to cook and why?
Traveling throughout the United States and internationally experiencing other cultures and enjoying the breathtaking beauty of our world are the things I enjoy the most. The ocean water of the Dominican Republic, the Royal Gorge of Colorado, the plains of Oklahoma, and the wonders of Yellowstone National Park are some of my favorites! To help me remember each destination, I have collected spoons from different places I've visited since I was a little girl!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
My thirties have been enlightening and empowering. My husband and I will celebrate 11 years of marriage this year. We often say we are happier now than we were when we got married because of the wisdom and confidence that comes with age. I have truly 'come into my own' and have never felt more confidently beautiful in my own skin. I now have the wisdom to mentor younger women to believe 'You Are Enough.'
