1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
I was 18 when I was baptized but much older before I took daily prayers seriously… but it’s never too late. Scripture study and prayer is now the most important part of my day and it has transformed my life. As a Christian blogger and podcaster, I hope my children and subscribers see the blessings we’ve had because of this lifestyle change. More than anything, I want my children to know that God loves them.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
As a communications professional, I spend a lot of time watching the news and what I see worsening is the disregard for human life. I worry most about raising children in a world where people are bought and sold, school children and churchgoers are gunned down and babies are called a “cancer.” If we don’t do more to change this culture, there won’t be much good left for our children to inherit.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
I’m fortunate to have a career where I travel across the world and to military bases every month. I’ve loved seeing so many unique places and had the experience to visit my grandmother’s country in Norway. I most enjoy visiting with people in each state and country I go to. I love learning about the diverse backgrounds we all come from and individual stories of triumph.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
We have seasons of life and I’ve learned to enjoy each one for its uniqueness. In this season of my life, I’ve become comfortable and confident in who I am. I strive to be a mentor over proving myself. To be understanding over being right. To raise happy and loving children over just wanting them to be successful. Instead of worrying what others think, I’m on a mission to bring more good to this world.
